Daphne Thomas, Founder
Ms. Thomas is the founder of ITOffshoreConnect. Her passion for software development and the desire to see the Global Economy thrive, prompted her to establish a small consulting company focused at helping the software development community succeed at Offshoring. Ms. Thomas has extensive experience in multi-site software development, she has first hand experience working with developers in Eastern and Western Europe, many parts of Asia, and the United States.
Ms. Thomas has over 20 years experience in the software development industry, seeing it change significantly over these years. She recently established a plan to transition a multi-site 800-person team to Agile Software development. Now she is ready to help you with the changes required in your organization as you move your software development organization to the next generation of IT Offshoring.
Ms. Thomas has experience managing and leading large and small software teams. She has established successful offshore operations and turned around struggling ones. Her in-depth understanding of the key success factors, and process to break down the cultural barriers will help your organization be successful.
Ms. Thomas is Goal oriented and Metric driven. She understands the value of the right metrics and how to establish and monitor them for early warning signs.
Ms. Thomas was born and educated in Dublin, Ireland. She is a Computer Science graduate of Rathmines College, Dublin. She also attended Executive Management Training at Babson College and Duke University.
Ms. Thomas is a board member of the Networking Women in Computer Technology and is also a member of the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Forum. Ms. Thomas is a popular speaker at many local IT Forums and Conferences.
